PROJECT GOAL
Empowerment of CBOs especially Gram Sabha, Mahila Mandal and Yuva Sangh for self governance, food, work and natural resource management entitlement of socio-economically excluded groups in 3 panchayats of Seraikella block in Seraikella – Kharswan district of Jharkhand.
OBJECTIVES
- To strengthen the Gram Sabha and their Committees in 3 Panchayats for planning and implementation of welfare programmes and pro poor policy
- To promote and strengthen CBOs like Mahila Mandal and Yuva Sangh as self help and pressure groups for accessing and realisation of their economic entitlement
- To promote the Self Supporting Cooperative / Micro Finance Institution of SHGs
- To build the organisational capacity of CBOs like Gram Sabha, Mahila Mandal and Yuva Sangh for result based management
- To demonstrate alternative options for livelihoods and capacitate for doing the same
- To form & strengthen the Network of Gram Sabha at Panchayat & Block level
- To form & strengthen the Network of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in Seraikella – Kharswan District
Duration: Four years
Target group and Beneficiaries: Three Panchayats in Seraikella block, details are enclosed as (Annexure -1) Socially excluded and economically poor and backward groups especially tribal, dalit, artisans and backward communities particularly women and physically challenged person.
